Cyrus Quadland

About the Art: Creating the feel and color of a Fall Day in the Hudson Valley, Cyrus creates the beautiful landscape that he visits as an avid hiker.

About the Artist: Cyrus grew up in a country farmhouse and loved nature. Since the age of 7, he has enjoyed painting and drawing. When he reached high school, his mother was ill and he was sent to boarding school where, in his senior year, he was awarded the Second General Excellence prize in the 1966 New England Preparatory School Art Show. He attended college in Tennessee where he studied art and painted the beautiful landscapes. In 1970 he was drafted into the Army, served in Vietnam, and was awarded a Bronze Star. He currently lives in the NY Hudson Valley where he continues to paint and enjoy the outdoors.

Artist’s Experience: I tend to keep to myself, so I am thrilled to have the opportunity through Uniting Us to share my art, join with fellow veterans, and receive feedback.
